Working Principle Of Dust Bag

1. Core filtering mechanism of dust bag
The core of dust bag is to separate dust in the air through physical interception and adsorption. When the dust-laden airflow enters the vacuum cleaner or dust removal equipment, it will be sucked into the dust bag due to the pressure difference. The bag body is usually composed of multiple layers of microporous materials (such as polyester fiber or non-woven fabric), with a pore size of about 5-50 microns, which can intercept particles of different sizes:

1). Large particle interception: Dust with a diameter greater than 50 microns (such as hair, paper scraps) is directly blocked by the fiber layer.

2). Small particle adsorption: 0.3-10 micron particles (such as pollen, bacteria) are captured by electrostatic adsorption or Brownian motion. High-efficiency dust bags (such as HEPA grade) have a filtration efficiency of 99.97% for 0.3 micron particles (according to the US Department of Energy standard).

2. Impact of materials and design on performance
Dust bags of different materials are suitable for specific scenarios:

- Non-woven bags: low cost, good air permeability, but need to be replaced frequently (recommended to be replaced every 3 months or after 10 vacuuming).

- Composite fiber bags: add antibacterial coating, suitable for people with allergies, and higher price (about 50-100 yuan/piece).

- Paper bags: disposable, avoid secondary pollution, but poor load-bearing (maximum load is about 1kg).

3. Maintenance and optimized use

1). Avoid overfilling: dust accumulation exceeding 70% of the bag capacity will reduce suction, and it is recommended to clean it in time.

2). Humidity control: humid environment can easily cause the bag body to agglomerate and affect air permeability (relative humidity must be less than 60%).

3). Compatibility check: when replacing, the device model must be matched (such as the Dyson V11 special bag capacity is 0.54L, incorrect use may cause dust leakage).

Through reasonable selection and maintenance, dust bags can significantly improve dust removal efficiency and reduce equipment loss. Industrial-grade equipment may also use cyclone separation + dust bag combination technology to further extend its service life.
